Founded in 2019 by Caitlin Johnson, we are headquartered in Poquoson, VA and have a 100% remote and cloud-based team for maximum flexibility and seamless client coverage. Our recruiting team consists of five recruiters located in Hampton Roads, VA, and Savannah, GA, plus three contract recruiters located throughout the continental US. We draw from an extensive network of candidates from the mid-Atlantic region, as well as throughout the US. We specialize in sourcing, interviewing, and matching top-tier IT and Talent Services candidates with our clients’ business requirements. In 2020 we rebranded from Input Staffing to Input Technology Solutions and our IT service delivery business unit was born. Our mission is to provide our clients with cutting-edge and comprehensive cloud and cybersecurity IT services that are secure, reliable, and cost-efficient. Caitlin is the CEO and Founder of Input Technology Solutions. Growing up in the Air Force Caitlin
has lived in four different continents and traveled all over the world. She attended Old Dominion
University and graduated Cum Laude with a Biology degree and plans of attending medical school.
Caitlin changed career paths after being out of school for a year and decided to enter the technical
recruiting space. She excelled in recruiting and had a knack for picking up technology. She started
the staffing and recruiting department for a small VAR, ABS Technology, and turned a profit loss
unit into a multi million dollar profit generating department. During her tenure with ABS
Technology she supported multiple SLED and higher education accounts with staffing and
recruiting services. ABS Technology was acquired by ePlus in the fall of 2019 and Caitlin decided to
start her own staffing and recruiting firm with a focus on IT positions. She has since built the
company into a team of twelve employees and has plans to triple in size by 2024. Caitlin started
Input Technology Solutions in order to provide clients with a high touch customer support
combined with real recruiting and staffing results. Her objective was to simply the recruiting
process and cut down on the time it takes to find qualified candidates in the IT, cyber, and intel
spaces.
Shawn is the President and co-founder of Input Technology Solutions. He has over a decade of
experience working in the IT industry. He specializes in sales, business development, and solution
architecture in all areas of data storage, backup, disaster recovery, networking, security, and cloud
technology. Shawn joined Input Technology Solutions in 2021 to lead our operational and business
growth strategies. Since joining the team Shawn is responsible for growing the organization by
100% and onboarding a plethora of new clients. His goals for the organization include breaking into
the SLED space, specifically higher education. Shawn previously supported many clients in the
higher education industry and understands the procurement lifecycle and the need for top technical
talent to achieve organizational objectives.
In the fall of 2020, during his senior year at Virginia Tech, Trevor joined Input Technology
Solutions working in recruiting and business development. He became the first employee to
join Caitlin Johnson, working part-time, while he completed his Bachelor’s Degree in Human
Development and Minoring in Entrepreneurship and New Venture Growth.

demeanor, drive to succeed, and positive attitude were traits he believed could lead to
success in this line of work. Trevor has been a full-time employee at Input Technology
Solutions since May of 2021, just after graduating from Virginia Tech. He is a current resident
of Salem, VA.
Since joining Input Technology Solutions in 2020, Trevor has placed a total of 27 candidates.
He has experience working in cybersecurity, networking, software development, systems
engineering, and more. Trevor believes taking the time to get to know each candidate on a
personal level, not just as another candidate, is essential to his success.
Outside of work, Trevor enjoys playing golf with friends, attending country music concerts,
going to church on Sunday mornings, and cheering on his Virginia Tech Hokies!
Katie graduated from Virginia Tech in 2008 with a Bachelor’s Degree in English –
Professional Writing. She began her career in technical writing, moving on to work in
instructional design and e-learning roles for nearly ten years. Katie’s extensive

experience in adult learning led naturally to a desire to help professionals find the
right role—one that aligns with their strengths, challenges their perceptions of their
own skills, and leads to career growth and lasting fulfillment.
Katie joined the Input Technology Solutions team in the Fall of 2021 and has found a
true home in recruiting. Katie has made about fifteen high-quality candidate
placements and thinks there is nothing better than calling a candidate with a lifechanging
offer (perhaps for their dream job)! She particularly values the mentorship of
the company’s founding members and strives to excel in her new role.
In her free time, Katie enjoys photography and watercolors. She loves traveling with
her family and chasing sunsets with her camera.

She is a strategic decision maker and problem solver, and has a strong ability to communicate effectively. Before joining Input Technology Solutions, Lori had a successful career in retail, eventually becoming an associate store manager. She has built and maintained long-term relationships with top-tier candidates to ensure a consistent talent pipeline. Lori has a proven track record of self-managing, networking, sourcing, screening, qualifying, coordinating interviews, negotiating and closing candidates. In her free time, Lori loves spending time with her dog Mav, and is passionate about animals. She also enjoys horror movies, reading, and is always looking for new and exciting adventures.
